Dr. Bennett will cover the types and proper uses of the
snaffle, curb, gag, pelham bits, driving bits, double bridles,
and bitless bridles. He will also discuss various accessories
like overchecks, side checks, nose bands, and martingales. |

Acupuncture: Its Science and Application in the Horse
--Dr. Tim Holt, Professor,
College of Vet. Medicine & Biomedical Sciences-CSU
Acupuncture is a
powerful tool for helping the horse to achieve maximum soundness and comfort in
the performance arena. It is also used to help sick and injured animals heal
faster with less pain and more quality of life. Dr. Holt will present the
science behind acupuncture in a classroom setting and then he will demonstrate
the effects and application on live horses. He will also answer the many
questions about when and where to apply this therapy. |
