Willie’s discussion will show how commercial producers can partner and outsource with seedstock producers so that both can win.  As a seedstock producer finding success in partnership with commercial producers, Willie will be able to offer the how-to of creating these profitable ventures.

2:30-3:15 Application of Risk Management

Drew and Kalyn will discuss the application of risk management for cow-calf producers and cattle feeders (in layman’s terms) using futures, options, and basis contracts.  They will highlight simple strategies for identifying the presence of price risk to a producer and how to manage equity in addition to profitability.
